A SOFTWARE QUALITY CONTROL PROCEDURE :
For in house inspection during software product developement
ABSTRACT
the developpemnt of software systems involves a series of productionactivities where opportunities for injection of human gallibilities are enormous.erros may begin to occur at the very inception of the process. becouse of these erros, software developpemnt is to be accompagnied by quality control models at each and every stage of the developpemnt. in this paper an attemp has been made to scintillate and highlight the control tools for in house inspection during the software product develloppement. tables are designed and contructed to select the parametres of sampling tools which will be a benefict for software quality control professionals.
1.0 INTRODUCTION
the major factors demands on software engeneers are requirement identification and compliance, variability reduction during the process, control of numbers of errors during devellopement, design adequacy, system faillure analysis, cost control and delivering products on time. errors may begin to occur at the every stage of developpemtnt. according to pressman (1997), becouse of these erros, software devellopent process is to be accompanied by quality assurances models. glen myers(1979) states a numbers of objectives for the developpement of quality oriented software.
in the modern computing area, different modules are developped at various offshore and integrated at the final stage. a particular module will have several functions to be develloped and deployed. the problems face by software engenneers is critic in this stage.
2.0 FORMULTION AND ALGORITHM FOR THE REJECTION OF THE MODULE
let x be the numbers of errors in a given module. then there are statistical evidences for x to following poisson or binomial probability model.
n = numbers of sample functions to be chosen from a lot modules.
p = process fractional errors
k = numbers of erros in the sample which my lead to rejection of the module
